A nutritious sugar-free detox smoothie that is tasty, easy to make, and so refreshing! You won’t even taste the kale!
I’ve been detoxing like crazy this year especially since I realized I have systemic Candida. It is so bad it is throughout my entire body including sugar cravings, food sensitivities, thrush in my mouth, digestive distress, small intestinal bacteria overgrowth (SIBO), and multiple sclerosis.
I have been making smoothies for a while but they always included fruit. Even after I started the Candida diet I stop all fruit except for berries, lemons, and limes. I was always worried the smoothie would not taste good without a little bit of sweetness from the berries.
This was actually my first green smoothie with NO FRUIT or any kind of sweetener, like Stevia. I admit I am not a big fan of kale so I was not expecting a good tasting smoothie. Turns out I was wrong, it tasted pretty good!
It is not only good tasting but it is filling AND you probably already have the ingredients! For the coconut milk, I like to use unsweetened, full-fat Native Forest, or 365 Everyday Value Organic Coconut Milk from Whole Foods. Even if you are not avoiding sugar or fruit, I think you will still enjoy this green detox smoothie.
