A delicious smoothie that is healthy, nutritious and so refreshing!
Made With Only 4 Simple Ingredients
You can enjoy this healthy smoothie recipe that’s plant-based, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, low-fat, paleo-friendly, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant-rich.
This recipe is simple to make with only 4 clean, real food ingredients including kiwis which have more vitamin C than an orange. Kiwis also have vitamins A, E, and K as well as minerals such as magnesium and potassium. Kiwi seeds are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids which are essential for people with multiple sclerosis.
Here are some tips to make this kiwi berry smoothie perfectly:
Bananas. You can use both a ripe frozen or an unfrozen banana when making this recipe. To freeze a banana, peel and cut it into smaller sizes then place it in a zip lock bag. Freeze the bag with the banana until you’re ready to use it.
Kiwi. Green kiwi is the most commonly available but you can also use gold kiwi. Leave the kiwi on the counter to ripen until it feels slightly soft similar to an avocado. Slice the kiwi into quarters and scoop out the inside using a spoon.
Berries. Choose a variety of berries such as blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, and/or wild blueberries. I like to buy a bag of mixed frozen organic berries.
Filtered water. Filtered water lowers the number of contaminants in the water whether it’s from a tap or well. You can easily buy a simple water filter such as this Brita Water Filter Pitcher.
