The new year is here and people love making New Year’s Resolutions! No matter what happened or didn’t happen this past year, it’s time to start fresh and moves forward. Think about what you want to accomplish this coming year and what your goals are.
Obviously, the top goal is to be healthy and get multiple sclerosis (MS) into remission. However, you need to start thinking about how you are going to achieve that goal. What are the steps you need to take to make it happen?
MS is a complicated disease and no two people are the same. So what works for one person won’t work for the other. There are different triggers to MS, you will have to figure out which ones are yours and eliminate them.
Possible triggers to MS:
- Diet (processed foods, refined sugar, refined carbs, food allergies, etc.)
- Infections (bacterial overgrowth, parasites, viruses, and yeast overgrowth)
- Environmental Toxins (heavy metals, mold, pesticides, etc.)
- Chronic Stress (especially emotional stress)
- Hormones (cortisol, insulin, vitamin D – yes, it’s a hormone)
- Genetics (you can’t change your genes but you can change your gene expression by living a healthy lifestyle)
What if…
You were able to heal your leaky gut. Able to get Candida overgrowth under control. And, you no longer suffered from chronic fatigue or brain fog. Wouldn’t it be nice to start feeling better?
There is no guarantee that all your symptoms will go away, but what if they did? Think about it, wouldn’t it be nice for your MS to be in total remission? It’s time to take action and start working on one or more of these goals! Stop dreaming and start doing!
Pick a New Year’s resolution and make this your best year ever! Some of these are very hard and you may want to give up, but keep the end results in mind. This is a long list but stay positive and know your body has the amazing ability to heal itself.
It’s time to start healing:

New Year’s Resolutions
This will take determination and inner strength due to the central nervous system being one of the slowest to heal. One of the most important steps to healing is discipline even when you don’t feel like it.
This is also a great time to start eating an anti-inflammatory diet and exercise. I like to use OptimalBody Personal Fitness to build strength and mobility.
Don’t let this year’s resolution end after one month. No one is going to do this for you, it’s time for you to get motivated and conquer MS. And, don’t wait for making a New Year’s Resolutions start now!
